A place where I am passionate about two things.. camping and photography! Behind the lens is me, Emma, making the most of Australia’s amazing camping spots to document our beautiful landscapes aaaaaaand since I’ve always loved photographing families this is where the two worlds collided and the idea for Campfire Folk began to brew. I kept finding myself camping in locations wishing for families/couples/kids/dogs to make portraits of in the beautiful scenery surrounding me! For a long time the idea continued to bubble away in the background, until recently.. thanks to the help of The Camping Mum it’s jumped into gear and I’m so excited to see it come to life.
So if this is ‘you’ and you are feeling the camping love with your family, consider having me document you in the wild. It will be raw and natural, you’ll most likely even have dirt on your clothes, but that doesn’t matter, most importantly we’ll have fun and at the end of the day you’ll have a collection of kick ass portraits filled with emotion that have captured you living your best camping lives, completely in your element. Can you think of a better time to get family portraits?!

LOCATIONS/DATES
First of all if you are a camping Mum, head on over to the Camping Mums Club stat and request to join! It’s such a beautiful group of women, all eager and enthusiastic about camping with their family! It doesn’t matter if you are just wrapping your head around attempting your first trip or if you are seasoned pros. The knowledge shared, questions asked, reviews given on locations, gear and activities/strategies for entertaining the kiddos is invaluable! And very much fun to be a part of!
Shell, the Camping Mum is planning quarterly group camping events for us (yay thanks Shell!) and to start off this is where you’ll find me. All details will be posted in the group however you are also more than welcome to get in touch via the form below. Over time I will also be looking at sharing dates for camping trip getaways on my own calendar where I will be available for portrait sessions in the wild. If you’d like to stay tuned on this simply sign up to the mailing list at the bottom of the page.

MY STYLE
I like to keep my portrait sessions as natural, candid and fun as possible!! I’ll settle in with you guys and take a few nice photos with everyone together and looking at the camera (or as much as possible with any littlies)! But mostly I enjoy snapping away, with a little guidance where necessary, while you guys are simply doing your thing and enjoying each other’s company in our beautiful setting.
You are always more than welcome to bring picnic blankets, balls, bikes or other favourite toys, otherwise games like chasey, piggy backs, jumping off things, big bear hugs, foraging for shells or leaves always provide fun and laughter in photos.
// I’d love to hear from you and chat all things camping and photos //
